Winning spare for Townend on Hawai Game
Cromwell lands Excellent touch
He hadn't run since last March and he came back in a different horse,. We were happy with him and thought he'd go close today. We'll see what the handicapper does with him over hurdles and take it from there.
Brandy Love wins readily on hurdles bow
Saga Aravis scores for Nolan & James
Walsh who hurled for Wexford for years. We hurled together for years as well. It's great to have a winner for the local lads. He got the run of it today, he went out and nothing came near him. He made his usual couple of mistakes but thankfully there was nothing close enough to him to take advantage of that. I'm just glad he won.
Capodanno completes treble for Mullins
It was a tremendous performance after making a mistake at the second last, to do what he did against what looked like a very good beginners chase field. He seems like he's going to be a much better chaser than hurdler.
Brandy Harbour sails home under O'Regan
That's our second track winner this year, and we had a point-to-point winner a few weeks ago, so the horses are in good order. It's mostly point-to-pointers we have, we buy three-year-olds and sell them on. This horse came out of Neilans and he just had a few issues. Grainne did all the work at home with him and he's got a few runs now so it's great. The owners are local lads as well so it's a fabulous day. We've tried him over a few different trips and the race the last day was a bit of a mess. We told Denis today to buck him out and go as hard as he could. He won it plenty well but we seldom have winners so we don't be messing around with them. Denis minded him and it's great that he rode a winner for me because he's been good to me down through the years and has bought a couple of horses from me.
Killer Mode on target for Meade & Swan
I'm delighted to see him win because that was his last shot at one, it's nice to win a bumper. He ran into a couple of good horses and he didn't run his race at Leopardstown (last Christmas). He'll go jumping now, we'll wait until after Christmas and give him a bit of time. He's well schooled and knows how to jump. Harry gave him a good ride, he's well-bred for the job!
