Bancnuanaheireann impresses on his debut
He is a fine big horse. We have been patient with him as he has taken time to come to himself. He handled the ground well and is a nice prospect.
Aris battles her way to success
Monaghan produces Wane with a well timed run
She was a bit unlucky here on Monday, she had a lot of weight and the trip was a bit short. She is an improving sort.
Run With The Wind springs 33/1 surprise
He is lucky to be alive as he had a major operation about four months ago for colic. It was life or death. His owner (John O'Hagan) had only bought him and then I had to ask him for €10,000 if he wanted to save him and go ahead with the operation. He said go ahead and I'm delighted for him. We got him to go hurdling with and we didn't think he would win today. Sam gave him a great ride and just gave him a few slaps to seal the deal close home. He will go for a two mile maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe on Monday next.
Toomdeely makes all to win again three years on
It was brilliant. He had a great run here on Sunday and he was fresh and well after it. I was fairly confident coming here as it was a good race on Sunday. He jumps and stays well. I bought him first and then sold him to the syndicate. The syndicate then took him off me, which was very disappointing at the time but thankfully I have him back now and hopefully he will be a Kerry National horse this time next year. Tom (Doyle) gave him a great ride. He is great jockey and comes down to school on him. He is an underrated rider.
Princeton takes the feature for Harty & Madden
That was nice. He is a nice horse and he ran a great race in the Galway Hurdle to finish fifth. We said we would give him a break after that and come here and thankfully it worked out. It was a true run race and all the main contenders were there at the last and thankfully he came out on top. Niall (Madden) did a super job. I told him to wait with him and that's exactly what he did. It's nice to have a winner for JP, he has been very good to me through the years and it's good to repay him. We have nothing specific in mind for him now, he will probably run again in a month or so. The ground was a concern today, as it is sticky but he didn't seem to mind it.
Bundle gives Ruby his first win back
I have been disappointed with our runners this week and when Dorset Square got beat earlier I thought that was it, but it's great that this fellow won. I don't know whether they just weren't firing or whether it was the ground. Me and Ruby though he wouldn't go on the ground but his owner Pat McSweeney though he would and he was right. I'm delighted for him as he asked me for a horse for Listowel and I thought Dorset Square would win for him. This fellow has a option over fences as he is well handicap over them. He might go back over them next but we will see what the handicapper does with him over hurdles now.
Saint sends favourite backers home happy
He did it easy, what kind of race it was I'm not sure. He will go for a winners of two bumper at Tipperary next as long as he comes out of this well. He will go hurdling in time.
