Tanaza justifies market support
She was just a little immature and green in the early stages. When she got the hang of things she came home extremely well. We ran today as it set her up nicely for the Silver Flash next month. The Group 3 is the logical way to go. She has plenty of stamina in her pedigree but is not short of pace. That was good fast ground and she handled it well.
Douglas shows a likeable attitude
You'd have to be delighted with him and he's a nice horse. I'm delighted with that first time out. He's German-bred and there is plenty of stamina in the pedigree. He won't mind stepping up and will learn plenty. His last furlong was good. He could go for something like the Chesham but that might be a bit quick and Deauville might go for that.
Queally & Kinsella on the mark with Maudlin
She was ill last year but is back right with the help of Liam Stark from Navan who worked hard at getting her insides all cleared up. She's back to what she was hopefully.
Progressive Wildcat takes Glencairn honours
Colin gave him a peach of a ride - he's riding out of his skin. Since we've stepped him up to a mile he hasn't looked back. He's in great order and loved the ground. It's great for Sean (Jones) and great to be involved in these kind of races. We brought him to the sales and couldn't get 70,000. Since we've stepped him up he's paid us back and is a lovely horse to have now. It wasn't ideal for Brendan (Bracken). We didn't want to make the pace as he was pacemaker in Newmarket and was a bit free then last time.
Uno gives Duke his first Leopardstown win
Witty appreciates the step up in trip
She did it well. She probably hadn't really gotten her conditions up until now. She was a late starter last year and at home I probably misjudged her pace. She ran over seven and we stepped up tonight. She likes nice ground and Leopardstown do a great job. They produced a lovely kind surface.
Salthouse an easy winner of the last
That was a big improvement. He's a relaxed horse. I would have loved to have had him for Down Royal but that won't happen now.
