Tarana makes impressive debut
She's quite a lazy filly at home who is not doing much in her work and I thought she'd be too spooky and green the first day,. Niall rode her the other day and said that she'd wake up a lot on the track. She finished well and being by Cape Cross she probably likes good ground. There are a couple of stakes races coming up in the next month and we'll probably let her take her chance in one of those.

Famous Name makes it 20 in Solonaway
In any period to win 20 races and 19 of those at stakes level is amazing,. He just loves being a racehorse and is a joy to train. He's a seven-year-old full horse who takes plenty of work. There was a slight worry today that he might be a bit vunerable over a mile. I'll talk to Lord Grimthorpe and Prince Khalid before making plans but he's in a Group One in Italy in a couple of weeks and we'll see about that. There is also the (Group Two) Joel Stakes at Newmarket (September 28th). He'll keep going as a long as he's enjoying his racing and his enthusiasm is unbelieveable.
O'Brien leaves it late on Up
She's a tough filly,. A mile-and-a-quarter is as far as we thought she'd stay and Joseph was riding her to try and get the trip. We'll aim her now at the Fillies and Mares at the Breeders Cup. She's been quite busy lately so may not run again before that.
Lantern lights up in Moyglare
It was gutsy of the owner, Ben Keswick, to put up the supplementary fee. Unfortunately he's not here as he's based in Hong Kong,. I certainly wasn't confident and you could see she was drifting in the market all day although I don't pay much attention to that. It was a very open Moyglare but she did it impressively. She's a filly that carries a lot of weight and she looks like she could be a 1,000 Guineas filly for next year. Santa Anita (Breeders Cup) is an option and we'll have to have a look at it.
Robinson records first win on George
The ground really is the key to him. We've been waiting on good ground all year,. There's a race for him here at the end of the month and he'll come back for that as he likes it around here. I'd like to thank Jim Bolger for the use of his apprentice. Dylan gave him a great ride.
Montebell makes winning return
She's very lazy in the morning and obviously saves her best for the track,. We gave her plenty of time and she was a bit keen and fresh early on today. I'd expect her to improve from that. We'll look for a stakes race next but I'm not sure where.
