Hickey records first flat win
My son Paul bought this horse as a breeze up sale horse but he was left over after the Craven Sale in Newmarket. Paul spent 3 years with Aidan O'Brien and most of the credit for this win should go to him. This is our first runner on the flat we've had a couple of National Hunt runners before. He was going very nicely at home but it was very hard to judge what we had.
Santo Padre scores for Marnane
He deserved that, he wants better ground and he hasn't got it all year and that's the best ground he's got all season. He may go to Dundalk next Saturday depending on how he comes out of this.
Berry records double
Things just didn't go well for her at Galway. We thought the flatter track here would suit her better. We will look for something similar for her in a few weeks time.
Viscount Nelson lands Hurricane Run Stakes
I'm delighted with that. He's like his Mum and Dad in that when he gets to the front he doesn't do a whole lot. He's a very good moving horse and he absolutely hated that ground. We will step him up to Group company now. The Futurity Stakes Group 2 at Fairyhouse at the end of the month is a possibility.
Enright records first winner at Tipperary
That was my first winner this season. I have about 20 horses in training. I was working with Ted Walsh for awhile. I'm delighted and Mark gave him a great ride. We decided to up him in trip and he saw he out well and he'll have no problem in getting a mile.
Eytarna defies topweight
She ran well at Cork but the 10 furlongs was a bit short for her. She likes the soft ground and she's very genuine. Her heart is in the right place. We'll see if we can win another handicap with her. She is a half sister to three Group 1 winners.
