The winner, Powerful Position (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Ffos Las on 16 October 2021 where the gelding finished sixth of eight runners, beaten by 37 ¼ lengths.
The representative of Christian Williams’s explanation that Powerful Position (IRE) had appreciated being stepped back up in trip to 2 miles, 7 furlongs and 177 yards was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Robbie Dunne reported that Le Tueur (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
