Lyons' Andre Amar lands Dundalk's opener
Gary (Carroll) said he was slow away and looked about and they didn't go quick. He loved the way he quickened and then he couldn't pull him up. He ran out real strong and it was like he just woke up after the race. He's babyish as ours are, he wouldn't be as professional as the one that ran here on Wednesday (Invasion Day). On a performance like that, with natural improvement, you'd like to be thinking of something like the Windsor Castle but we'll worry about that down the road. It was a good, honest performance. Probably Gary got first run on Colm (O'Donoghue on runner-up Servalan) on the day so you wouldn't get carried away but there should be plenty of improvement.
Queluz gains third career success
Terzetto steps up on her debut second
I was very happy with her. She had a lovely run here on her first run, it was hard to tell how good (it was) but the winner could be anything on the day. She's very straightforward and a very genuine filly. We were a bit worried about the draw today as she was parked out wide. Colm (O'Donoghue) just got a chance to fill her up before the turn in and she quickened up well. She has a big heart and she likes the surface so we'll see. We brought her here because she likes good ground, we have no reason not to try her on the grass. We'll see what the handicapper does with her now. She's a laid-back filly at home and she goes through the motions of everything we ask of her. When she comes to the races she comes alive. She's the ideal type.
Dunford delivers for Coakley gang
it's a great day as the whole Coakley gang are here! . He has grown up a lot now so you can ride him that way. Before you had to take your time, he was very immature and you had to get him doing things right. The penny has really dropped with him now and I just felt from a good draw I didn't want to complicate things. If something wanted to go I was more than happy to take a lead but he covers a nice bit of ground so I just let him roll away. Shane (Foley) came late and I was a little bit worried he might have nailed me. If he was going to beat me he was going to be flashing there, as if he came to me half a furlong out he probably would have battled him off. My dad trains at home and he got the trainers' license out last year. It was something he always wanted to do, we have always had horses in training and he rides him out every morning himself. He's doing a great job and he loves it.
Light Pillar wins on Irish debut for O'Brien & Crosse
Bringthehousedown picks up his first victory
He's a four-year-old now and he's a big, unfurnished horse. We had to wait on him.
Halford completes Dundalk double
she was guaranteed to get the trip which we felt some of them mightn't have been. She had a lovely draw so Conor (Hoban) just kept it simple and used the big, long stride on her. It's nice to get a bracket with her.
