On the run to the line, Nakadam (FR), placed third, shifted left-handed onto One Of Us (GB), placed fourth, giving the gelding a slight bump, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Nakadam (FR).
The winner Dino Boy (FR), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Carlisle on 1 November 2020 where the gelding was pulled up in a field of twelve runners.
Iain Jardine’s explained that Dino Boy (FR) had stripped fitter for its previous start which was its first since a 283-day break and had further benefited from running on a left-handed track on this occasion.
His comments were noted and the gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Jordan Nailor reported that Iwilldoit (GB), placed sixth, did not jump with fluency on several occasions throughout the race.
