The Stewards enquired into possible interference jumping the last fence and on the run to the line involving Joeswayornoway, ridden by K.E Buckley, placed first, and Moonlit Sea (GB), ridden by R.J. Condon, placed second, where it appeared that Moonlit Sea met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned

R.J. Condon, stated that he suffered interference at the last but felt that this interference had not affected his over all finishing position. K. E Buckley, stated that his mount jumped right throughout and despite his best efforts had also raced right in the closing stages, but felt he had not improved his finishing position as a result of any interference caused. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while Joeswayornoway had caused interference to Moonlit Sea, she did not improve her finishing position as a result of this interference, so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. Furthermore, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted. Mr. S. McDonogh, Acting Steward, was not present for this enquiry
