Sicilian finally comes good
That was not before time. Both Ruby and David Casey, who has ridden him before, said he needs the spring ground. He's very ground dependent. Although Punchestown is a bit soon, he may go there or otherwise go for a novice chase early in the new season.
Knock completes four-timer
She's obviously very good. She tied up badly at Limerick last time but her previous run at Cork was much better and based on that we were hopeful today. It was a very competitive race today, and we're delighted to win. It's unlikely she'll go to Punchestown, and we'll sent her over fences next season.
Pin gets in the swing
We've always thought he was a good horse and he's a super leaper. Hopefully he'll make a proper chaser some day. He's had a few problems but seems to go on any ground and will stay further.
Shock win for Baracas
The secret is getting him to relax and Mark did that well. He has to have good ground so hopefully we'll have a good summer with him. He's probably going to go over fences as early as next month. He runs best fresh and the Flat tends to light him up a bit, so we'll keep him to jumps for the time being.
Dubh takes advantage of Prince's fall
The fences are there to be jumped. We'll see how he comes out of this before deciding if we go for the two mile novice at Punchestown. Paul said the ground at Cheltenham was too tacky, and he got caught in it and lost his action. The ground suited him much better today.
Russell & Byrnes double up
That was a great ride by Davy. We'll probably go handicapping with him, mixing it between fences and hurdles. I've no great plans but he is game and genuine, and suited by two and a half to three miles.
