Kalann claims Cork opener

Kalann had a holiday after he ran disappointingly on his last few runs during the winter. However he is a late May foal and is actually still growing. . We'll go to Punchestown next for either the Grade 1 Four Year Old Hurdle or else a winners' race. He likes good ground and will make a really nice horse next year.

Apalachicola flies for Crowe

everyone who rode her last year said she was a mare for next season and she'll go over fences eventually. She'll have a break now and come back in the autumn . she is a good mare in the making.

Paulie scores for Power/Murphy

I've no idea what happened to him at Wexford the last day but he is a horse who's had a lot of problems. We'll go for something similar at Punchestown next but anything we win over hurdles is a bonus as he is a real chaser in the making.

Salesin follows up Wexford win

Salesin is game out and while I thought the run would come a bit soon after his Wexford win, we had to come here for today's pot. We'll mix it between handicap hurdles and chases with him during the summer . the ground staff did a great job watering the track here too.

Minella Clonmel is a big strong horse who wants good ground. He may go to the Horses In Training Sales at Doncaster in May next. The Sales over there have been lucky for me!
