Profile prevails as Rose fails to bloom
He's a nice horse, a good horse, but wants it softer. We won't run him until a bit of rain comes and will look for a winners of one somewhere. He is a next year horse really and it looks like stepping up in trip won't be a problem to him.
Laverteen makes the breakthrough over flights
Bitsandpieces bounces back to form
He is a talented kind of horse but is rigid and is a boardy type. He fell on his second run over fences. The ground was beautiful today and being a horse with a bit of age, like ourselves, might have aches and pains and it was easier to get through it today. He (Torrens) gave him a great ride; I told him to give him plenty light and hunt him around and enjoy yourself and he did that. His suspensories got jarred after he won at Tipperary and he had one run last year but we had to let him off again as my horses were sick. He's a fella who could turn up again and do a job and he could go over fences now.
Barcoe's bottom weight causes 20/1 upset
her low weight (9st12lbs) made a big difference in that ground. This is her first run this season because of the ground; she has won over three miles in the past and it's her second season which is a help.
Allardyce bags another for O'Grady
he was good and brave and I was long at one or two and he came for me. I got there sooner than I wanted to but I was jumping so well down the back that he got me there. Hopefully he can pick up another race or two along the way and it was nice to get a winner for Mr O'Grady as well.
Easy for All The Answers on handicap debut
Shane was very happy with him and we'll go for something similar after that. He jumped really well for his first handicap and will obviously come on for it.
Carrignagapple lands a gamble under Murphy for Hamilton
I used to have a permit in England and trained a few winners there but that is my first winner here. I moved over here five and a half years ago and I brought him with me thinking I would sell him as a three year old but nobody really wanted him!. He is homebred and I kept him and trained him. I'm originally from Dorset and my elder daughter Katie works for Colin Tizzard. That's where I grew up and we were surrounded by big yards so you just have to up the game. He is my first runner on the track in Ireland and I'm based in Mullinahone and milk cows for a living; I milked this morning but got out of milking tonight!
