Bite That survives a scare to grab his first victory
He has taken his time and will be a better chaser. Gavin (O'Mahoney) part owns him and we met out in the Canaries, we drink in the same bar out there. He has another horse with me as well. He will come on and just wants the fast ground. He never saw the second last. He might go for another hurdle before we send him on over fences.
Cruisin Susan pips favourite in a Tramore thriller
She ran here the other day and was fourth. She is what she is and I'd say fitness was the biggest part of her win today. That's a second winner on the track for John (son and jockey). He has a degree in Business from Trinity, but he decided to stay with horses rather than going getting a proper job! John is at home with me and Ross (son who finished 10th on the trainer's Darling Valentine) is with Henry de Bromhead. It's nice to get a winner. We were just hoping that she might be placed today. We might run her again and see how she goes.
Golden Sandbanks puts himself in shop window
The lads wanted to go for the handicap hurdle because they thought he would win it but, with that new rule and the fact he jumps so well, I wanted to expose that a little bit.
Influential Lady relishes step up in trip
The couple of runs over fences have stood to her, she jumped well and did everything brilliant today. Her run in Killarney was good, she wasn't far behind The Little Yank and that would be solid form. She ran well the last day too. We were always hopeful that she might win when stepped up in trip. I'd say she would get three miles on ground like that today and ridden that way too. The plan was to jump around, get her into a rhythm and take it from there. She was given a very good ride.

Katie Tay obliges for Caman Racing Club
Mark Landers got in contact with me and asked me to find them a horse for this racing club. Paul Byrne and Emmet (Mullins) very kindly said they would lease us this mare. They highly recommended her and thought she would do the job, she has and it's brilliant. The pressure was on with so many of the club here. I was telling them she was doing nice work and her form in the spring entitled her to win that. She actually ran a bit keen all the way and that was my only worry.
