The owners had a few quid on him and they're very happy men. This horse was second in a point-to-point for the late Tom Costello and he told me that he'd make a nice chaser some day. He said that if he won a hurdle it'd be a bonus but maybe he'd win another one now.
Quel sluices up in Cork Stayers
That was a class performance. He was always travelling well and Paul just bided his time. He winged the last and he'll make an exciting chaser in time. He has already won a point-to-point (for Andy Slattery). It is nice to have a winner in the absence of the boss.
Big Cork double for Mullins & Townend
The trip and ground was ideal but he'll come on a lot from it. There should be a lot more to come from him as Paul said he wasn't doing a whole lot during the race. We got a bit of a fright at the last and I ended up shouting at the screen when Paul started easing up.

Star's half-bro brings up Townend's Cork treble
He'll be a nice horse next year over a fence. Ruby said we got the tactics wrong in Gowran the last day when he was keen, he said that he should have let him bowl along a bit more. Unusually for a French-bred he has just needed time. A full-brother to him, either a three or a four-year-old has won three in France this year. This fellow is a big raw narrow horse and he'll probably stay with me for this season. He improved from Gowran the last day. He could win a good race in spring and somewhere like Aintree could be on his agenda. He has a lot to live up to but he is going the right way.
Silver Friend lands punt
He is a nice horse and his dam (Presuming) is a full-sister to Presenting. We might go for a winners bumper with him.
