The Stewards interviewed D.J. McInerney, rider of Go Another One, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D.J. McInerney was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f) in that he used his whip with excessive force and frequency, and having considered his previous record in this regard suspended him for four racedays

The Stewards interviewed H. Morgan, rider of Babbling Stream (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that H. Morgan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f) in that he used his whip with excessive force, and having considered his previous record in this regard cautioned him on this occasion.

A hurdle race for four yrs old and upwards which at entry are rated 123 or less , also open to horses rated 124-135
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 9lb; 5-y-o and up 11st
Penalties - Performances before 7th August for every 1lb above the rating of 123 1lb extra; On or after 7th August for each hurdle race won 4lb extra; Horses that have not run three times over hurdles and/or do not have a published handicap hurdle rating may enter and run at the discretion of the handicapper provided their performances are rated 135 or less.
