Hughes/Loughran win opener at Fairyhouse Easter Festival
He was a decent horse on the Flat in Germany. He won his maiden well up the North but then he went wrong on us. He had lung problems but he has been back to himself the last 6 weeks and it's a great start to the week.
Hughes records double at Fairyhouse
We're lucky to have her and she's a really good mare. We've always thought this was her ground, she won on decent ground at Leopardstown and again here today and hopefully we'll get decent ground when she goes to Punchestown for a 2m 2f Mares Race.
Another Graded Victory for Walsh/Mullins
It's great he got his jumping back together today. We decided to slot him in at the back and let him get into rhythm. I thought Dundrum had stolen it but once Ruby [Walsh] switched him out he quickened up nicely. We'll keep him to the minimum trip and head to Punchestown next with him.
Carberry wins feature aboard Aran Concerto
He's a hell of horse to do what he did on his second run back and after a long lay off but unfortunately he seems to have finished lame. It just goes to show the potential he has if we get a chance to train him. It was the plan to go to Punchestown but obviously we'll just have to wait and see now.
Mullins & Walsh in double form
I'm delighted with that, we have obviously been running him on the wrong ground all year. His pedigree suggests he's a soft ground horse but a combination of the trip and the ground brought out the best in him today. Ruby gave him a very brave ride sitting so far off the pace and he was lucky to avoid the horse that slipped up before the turn in. I'm really looking forward to go novice chasing with him next year.
Walsh records treble
That was great to get a change of luck, he was entitled to that someday. We were probably go to Punchestown next with him.
I wasn't worried about him carrying top-weight. He will improve from this run and now heads to Punchestown for the Champion Bumper if the ground is no faster than here today. I think we can gain revenge on Dunquib which beat us at Navan.
