Derek said he just had a bit of a wobble crossing the line but he's not lame (dismounted after the line). He ran on his head early on. The ground was wild holding in Ballinrobe and we probably should have taken him out.

When he was younger he wanted good ground but since getting older he likes a bit of an ease. We were always happy with him over the winter on soft ground. That's also his first time going an extra couple of furlongs.

It looked a bad race in Ballinrobe but in actual fact it was a good race. He had never been away from home before when he ran in Ballinrobe and he ran very green. He can gallop and he has a lovely long stride on him. He has the stamp of a chaser. He'll go to the sales.
