That was grand in spite of the few smacks he got. He's a brave horse,. He's a horse I like but he's far from the finished article. He's going to want seven furlongs and from August on will be a lovely horse. I had no intention of running him back over five but after looking at what I had for this race decided to let him take his chance. I fancied him strongly but the trip was a worry.

He's been running well. I wasn't sure about the step up in trip but he saw it out well,. We'll look at the apprentice race at Killarney on Monday but he wouldn't run unless the ground was good. He has plenty of improvement and hopefully we'll have a bit of fun with him.
I thought there was no way we could beat Northgate - I'd make a bad handicapper,. Shane said she got into a little bit of trouble and that may just have suited her. She loves the all-weather and we might travel across the water and could step up to 1m4f.
