Hunters makes pleasing start over flights
Obviously I was afraid of Powder Hound and MacBride coming here but he was running away with me the whole way,. I got there a mile too soon and was just giving him a few flicks to keep his mind on the job. I'd say he's a very nice horse.
Berbas 1 to look forward to for Connell team
It was a lovely performance. He's a big chaser in the making - a lovely horse,. Adrian said he would have no problem going up in trip and he was very impressed with him. I'm not sure where he'll go now. He's in the Hattons Grace and we'll see where he goes. He's a very exciting horse and has improved a good bit. He has filled into himself and will do the same into next year. He's one for the future over the big ones but he'll definitely stay hurdling this season. He had to do it the hard way there.
Rocket's win not a surprise to all
He loves it around Navan and Naas as it's a stiff two miles. He doesn't get two-and-a-half but loves a stiff two miles. He's a super old leaper. He ran very well at Navan back in the spring when he was second to The Parishioner. He's owned by a very good man in John Kearney, who is from Trim, and I'm delighted for him. He's with me a long time and leaves me alone to do my own thing.
Killer leads home Meade one/two
He did it well. He hadn't schooled on grass, only on the all-weather. He's a heavy horse so it was hard to know as he needs soft ground,.
2 for Meade as Disko shows true colours
He couldn't do anymore. I know it wasn't the greatest contest but the dream is still alive,.
Browne off the mark in Ireland
He was a very big weak horse last year. I was hoping he'd strengthen up a good bit over the summer and he did but I thought he might get even stronger,. Hopefully he'll improve again and he'll get three miles onwards. We're hoping someday he fits into some of the big handicaps. Barry gave him a grand ride considering it was the first time he rode him. He can take a bit of a tow early on but he doesn't do anything too bad. He carries his head low and is a real chasing type. I like that in a horse.
