Bagber win a tribute to late Monteith
Rathlin on road to better things
He scoped very poorly after Clonmel (2nd there to Definite Class). I was gutted but my horses were very sick around that time. I think the world of him and his owners, Gigginstown have supported me very well. I think he's the type of horse that would be better in a championship race where they'd go a better pace.
The Buck is best in Goresbridge
Shamrock goes to The Sneezer
He didn't have much respect for his hurdles but he's always been a good jumper of fences. He'll get a little holiday now as he's had a tough few weeks. We might go back over hurdles with him then (rated 104 at that game whilst he ran here off 119). Tom and the horse are getting on well together and he thinks he had plenty left there as he said he was pricking his ears.
Shark off the mark over the larger ones
That's my first winner over fences in Ireland. Truckers Delight won a chase in Startford alright. The plan all year with Viking Splash was to go for the Foxhunters in Cheltenham but he came down in Leopardstown the last day and he isn't qualified now. He'll probably go to Fairyhouse. I see him as an Irish National type in the making.
Uncle Junior finally makes it
That was a long time coming. He jumped well today and I think he'll improve as the ground gets drier. He'll probably go for a winners of one now. The other fellow, Definite Edge lost his action and he's pulled muscles.
Thynetocatcher is a smart one
She's a beautiful mare and I bred her myself. She's the owner, John Connery's first horse. Her dam, Randal Island is a half-sister to Sparkling Gold and Cable Beach.
