The Stewards enquired into an incident close to the finish involving Solomn Grundy, ridden by Mr J.L. Scallan, placed first and Stand Up And Fight, ridden by Mr D. O'Connor, placed second, where it appeared that Stand Up And Fight edged left and made contact with Solomn Grundy. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr J.L. Scallan stated that the other horse had come over towards his mount and made contact. Mr D. O'Connor stated that his mount was tired having gone a strong gallop and in his opinion both horses had drifted towards each other
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference was accidental in nature and took no further action
Mr T. O'Connor, rider of Cloudy Tuesday trained by Turlough O'Connor, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled or jumped during this race.
A steeplechase for ] Certified Hunters five years old and upwards that have between 7th October, 2017 and 29th March, 2021 been placed either first, second, third or fourth in a Point-to-Point Steeplechase or in a Certified Hunters Steeplechase in Ireland or Great Britain and that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing after 1st March, 2020 other than a Certified Hunters Steeplechase or a Farmers Race Weights - 5-y-o 11st 11lbs 6-y-o and up 12st 2lbs Mares allowed 7lbs Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. ? A Hunters Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2020/2021 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Offices of the I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 29th March, 2021 or the horse will not be qualified to start. In the case of horses from Great Britain, Hunters (Master of Hounds) Certificates must have been duly registered at the Racing Calendar Office, Wellingborough. The Stewards of the I.N.H.S. Committee have modified the Rules to permit horses for which Master of Hounds Certificates have been registered with the Jockey Club and which are eligible to run in Hunters Steeplechases in Great Britain to run in this race. However, horses with a Master of Hounds Certificate that have run in any race other than a Hunters' Steeplechase since 1st November, 2020 are excluded. The Cup to be run for each year and to be held by the winner for one year but must be returned to the Secretary on or before 1st March, 2022.
