Mauiewowie another juvenile debut winner for Lyons
She's a nice filly and we liked her,. We're not surprised by that, she has entries. She had sore shins and stuff and we just gave her a chance. She was one that I was contemplating starting off in a stakes race but I said I would do that if I was looking for place money but I know she's a stakes filly. Hopefully she could be a filly for something like the Cheveley Park, in time. We like her a lot and have done from the start.
Empire Steps Up From Promising Debut
That was great. The ground maybe wasn't ideal for him, it was plenty on the soft side, but he quickened up well. He'll improve for a bit nicer ground and he's a lovely horse. He stepped forward from his first run and that's what we thought he'd do today. He's a very good natured horse at home, very relaxed, but he wants to get on with things. He holds an entry in the Ballyhane here, that's at the beginning of August so he could easily go straight there because it's such a big pot and then step up into group company.
Showmolina continues fine form of Johnny Levins
That was lovely, we've been waiting a long time for that to happen,. He fluffs the start too often and has given a few races away. He stayed on really when third in Down Royal, when Cillian McConnell gave him a lovely ride, and that put a smile on his face. Shabaaby (second) went on to win for us in Bellewstown so we came here quietly confident. I can't believe Joey Sheridan is still allowed to ride in these types of races, he's worth 10lb in an apprentice race. He gave him a brilliant ride. The ground is like carpet out there and he handled it really well. Top marks to Naas.

She was drawn wide and I left the jockey with an open book. He got her out, she went to the front and she travelled a lot better today. I think she won nicely. Her ears were pricked and I think there might be a bit more left. I think she'll go a mile-and-a-half. She never travelled the last day and still won. I was surprised that the horses that were behind her then were a shorter price today. She won on merit the last day. She has surprised us as she's not the fastest in her work at home but she keeps producing on the track. She's very tough and she's out of a Dubai Destination mare which makes her stay. She's a nice mare, he (Dr Ronan Tynan) only gave €4,000 for her so he's very happy as she has two races won now.
