Bass leaves it late in opener
He got a bit far back and didn't travel that well early on,. At home you would think he would win over seven furlongs the way he works. He likes good ground and wouldn't be a winter hurdler. He'll have another run and then we'll see about going to Listowel for the three-year-old hurdle there.

Neworleans impresses in novice
After he won here at the festival it was always the plan to come back,. It was lovely ground and he handles the track well. He just loves jumping. I think we'll go now for that race at Roscommon (Grade 3 Kilbegnet Chase - 26th September).
Holland back in Galway winners' enclosure
He seems to love it around here. He's brilliant - for such a big horse he's so clever (over his jumps),. He got a foot injury at Aintree and was stood in his stable for eight weeks. We thought it was an injury he might not recover from but he's very brave. He'll get an entry for the Kerry National and we'll see what the handicapper does to him. Another option is the conditions race he won at Navan (on 24th September) a few seasons ago.
Milan springs shock for Mahon
I'm delighted to be back,. The Turf Club have been more than generous and I have to thank them for their help and also my owner Tom Quinn. I've been overwhelmed by the amount of support I've had. I'm very disappointed that Peter Casey couldn't take the ride but his son is not well so I understand completely. This mare just needed the run the last day as I was in the process of putting in a five furlong gallop but she travelled well for a good bit here last time.
