Icare Allen headed for Cheltenham after Fairyhouse win
He did it well, he jumped better. He just was a lot better than he was at Christmas. We'll roll on - we haven't decided where we are going to go. He'll go across the water, he's in the Boodles and he is in the Triumph but we haven't made up our minds yet.
Peaceful Sunday a Saturday winner
Sam delights Moore with success in Tommy Carberry Handicap Hurdle
He was well bought out of the point-to-point fields. He has a beautiful temperament, you can see that in the way he lobbed along in front there. Even in the stables nothing fazes him,. He is obviously going to be a real lovely chaser. We'll give him one more run at Punchestown or Fairyhouse and then let him off. He might come back here for the 2m6f at Easter. I thought it was a big ask today, first run in a handicap. They gave him a very soft lead and made it easy for him but he was very slick. He's got a nice future.
Meyler doubles up as Frankie does it at Fairyhouse again
He'll come back here on the 4th of April for a 2m6f chase and that's the plan with him. He seems to be improving well,. JD Moore bought him for me and John Barry, who has ridden plenty of winners for me, recommended him. I had a good chat with John last night and he said he thought he would handle the ground even if he isn't in love with it. He said he had done plenty on that type of surface. I wouldn't do much on grass but he was happy enough to run him, so I was happy then.
Bobbyjo thriller goes to Any Second Now
He can win at 2m or he can win at 3m or he can win at 3m2f. That's what you need going to the National, a bit of luck. He's in good old nick. Six weeks to go and he didn't have that hard of a race, he got a couple of smacks at the back of the last. He's 10 years of age. I'd say Burrows Saint probably has a problem with his puff again, he cut out very quickly turning in when travelling really well. The second horse (Escaria Ten) is a good horse. There was a Thyestes winner in it, a Kim Muir winner in it and an Irish National winner so it was a tidy race. The second horse was second in the four miler at Cheltenham and stays well. I was happy with my fella today and I'm glad I got a race into him. I'm delighted he got a few smacks and he had to go and do it. There was no point touring around. You want to be competitive as it is six weeks to the National, he needs to be fit and well for it. I'm delighted, I couldn't have asked for better. I was coming off the stand and I was delighted if he was second and I was delighted that the verdict went our way. He'll go there (Aintree) fit and well with a clear run and everything going right for him.
All alright come the finish line for Regina Dracones
She is just so tough and she loves it here. The conditions of the race really suited her as well. She did (take the third last by the roots), I thought that was us gone but Jack (Foley) said when she got her feet back, he was actually quite happy to follow Rachael (Blackmore on Sovereign Gold) into the straight. He said he felt like he had plenty and she started to come alive. She'll get a lot further too we think. I don't think it makes any difference (which way round she runs), I think she was going to win her first handicap hurdle in Navan and she fell at the second last I think.
Busy Harvey lands a 2nd Saturday winner as Bo another talent from Doyle academy
