He looks a natural recruit to the game. I was worried the trip might be too short for him but he jumped so well I thought I'd let him take his chance,. We can up him in trip when we want. I'll find something for him in a few weeks time - a nice novice. We'll see what he does next time before making any plans.

Goldback too strong in novice

Robert was absolutely thrilled with his jumping. He has improved again,. We were due to run in this race on the 10th but it has been worth waiting for. Robert was a bit concerned about the ground as it seemed to be very testing, but he handled it well. He'll have entries for Cheltenham and I think they are leaning towards the Arkle but we'll have to talk to the owners.

He did it very well. He handled the ground and got a lovely ride from Robbie Power,. He's a bit of a character and Robbie got a proper tune out of him. He settled and jumped very well and had the race won from a fair bit out. Everything went his way.

Universe looks bright prospect

I think there is a winners' race for him back here in a few weeks,. We've also got Elegant Concorde who is an extremely good young horse, as is this fellow. Let's see how he gets on next time. They wouldn't both go for the Cheltenham bumper. I was a little bit careful with him over the bad weather and fitness was my only concern but he is very talented. He's a very decent young horse and will make a nice dual purpose performer. He will be a lovely horse for the Flat in the summer as well.
