Team Tabor take Curragh's opener
I'm delighted with him. He's a Dubawi out of Minding and he looks a lovely horse. She (Minding) handled that ground and he does bend his knee a bit but he quickens. You'd have to be very happy with him. Ryan said it was very easy and he said he didn't touch him with the stick, he was very happy with him. He had been working well, he just came on the scene lately. For the last three weeks, week after week he was working well. He's an exciting type of horse.
Kairyu collects in Group 3 Anglesey
she looks very smart. Colin said she doesn't want that ground, it was plenty soft - she was just good and tough. He said she has a savage turn of foot where she can go and put a race to bed. He said the gaps appeared a little bit before he wanted them. He feels she relaxes so well that she'll probably get seven furlongs in time. I was thinking about going to the Duchess Of Cambridge at Newmarket last week but I just wasn't 100 percent happy with her work so we just waited another week. Colin thinks she'll be better on better ground and she'll probably go for something like the Lowther now. Patrick Turley sold her, his father is here and she's the first foal out of a Lope De Vega mare that they have. They are better known in the jumping ranks but they are very good at what they do and they know the time of day. Paddy highly recommended the filly and I really liked her. She's still a little bit high behind and she's going to grow plenty so she could potentially be a very nice filly. My wife Siobhan named her, it's Japanese after the stallion.
Scurry strike for Garrity on first Irish visit
he's been a good horse to me and a good horse to the yard. He keeps picking up these premier handicaps and I'm absolutely delighted. I was confident, the guv'nor said 'you've got a good draw so just keep down the stand's side'. I didn't think Ripon was really suited to him - the ground was a little bit quick the last day. He likes coming through horses and he was always playing in the race really. When he gets there he probably doesn't do a lot, he just pricks his lugs. He enjoys those big runner handicaps and it's great to see him win. I just tried to pick my time and execute the plan.

Oaks winner matches at 1,000 in-running
it's a long time since she ran, she had a break after (finishing second at) Epsom and obviously we knew this was her first run back for an autumn campaign. She's a big relaxed mare and obviously the ground was way different than what she ran on the last time. The lads were delighted with her at home, she was thriving and doing great. Chris's filly (Hayes on seventh-placed Azazat) just came around her when she was just starting to get going and she might have gotten a little bit intimidated by it. Ryan gave her a brilliant ride, he re-motivated her - when she was in a little bit of trouble he kept her coming forward without panicking and got her out, then he asked her to come again. It's a very difficult thing to motivate a horse on that type of ground but she did answer for him. He was brilliant on her.
Conquering Coolmore complete Curragh treble
the original plan was that she would go straight to the Goodwood Cup but when the ground changed we said we'd let her take her chance here. Everyone was happy with her at home and that's why she came here. I was a bit worried that she was a couple of pieces of work away but Ryan gave her a beautiful ride and got her very confident. she loves the ground and loves being ridden like that. With that ease in the ground she's a different filly. She goes on the other ground, she's very genuine and tries very hard, but on that ground she grows another leg. Ryan was biding his time and he said at the two (furlongs) marker she came alive for him when he wanted her. He gave her a peach, he filled her with confidence. He said going to the start he knew she was different, obviously she loves that ease in the ground. Maybe we should be a bit careful, we ran her on fast ground and she came out of it very well but she's obviously better on that ground.
Jakajaro makes winning handicap debut
he's a lovely horse, we've always liked him and always thought he'd win a maiden. He was good the first day and then the second day here he just lost the plot - he pinged the gates, was too keen and did everything wrong. We brought him back to Fairyhouse, dropped him in and he settled. He probably didn't appreciate that really fast ground but stayed on well and came home well. This was always the plan and when the ground was getting softer we were delighted. He's a good horse, I don't know where he'll get to but he's a 90-plus horse anyway. Even in the last half furlong he was green. he was well bought, Amy (Marnane, niece) bought him and Jim Bolger's grand-daughter Clare (Manning) recommended him. It's worked out really well. Hopefully he can go on. He's in the sales race and that will be his target.
Bolger homebred wins maiden finale
she's holding her form well, she's very honest. I think she goes on any ground. She'll probably go handicapping and then we'll be looking to get a bit of black-type, I think she will too. I might keep her in training next year - I'd say there is improvement to come.
