He was supposed to be going to the sales but when he won Michael (O'Leary, Gigginstown) said I could keep him to go chasing,. We sent him home for a bit of a break after the summer because he wanted soft ground and it's taken me until now to get him ready. It was just niggly things that stopped him and slowed him down. He'll stay hurdling now this year and go jumping next season. It's great to win Tommy Carberry's race as he was one of my favourite people in life.

That was great to get a win with her. She's a very honest little mare,. She kept on galloping and handled that ground great. She's only small so Simon's 7lb claim was a big help.

Conditions suited him great today. Very heavy ground and a good test of stamina. He jumped very well today,. He's in the English and Irish Nationals. There are a lot of connections and they are probably more leaning towards Aintree. I'd imagine at the moment that's winning the vote in the Carlow camp. The weather will play a big part. We'll have to see what the long range forecast is like.

He was good. Two miles on that ground is his distance. He might come back here for a novice handicap chase over two miles at Easter. When he was beaten twice in maiden hurdles we said 'he's a great big horse, why not go chasing with him'. He's a grand horse, we're just getting him right now. He'll go on a bit better ground as well.

We totally changed tactics with him today and it made a big difference to how he finished out his race. He looked a decent horse,. He's probably booked a ticket to go to Cheltenham but I'll have a word with connections, they are not here today, and we'll see how he comes out of the race. Maybe we could plan an Irish campaign for him instead, we'll see what they want to do. He's a horse that has shown us a lot of ability at home but he was just using himself up too much in his previous races and we just decided to settle him today.
