We put cheekpieces on him today as he had his eye on the stable yard gate the last day at Clonmel and they seemed to have done the trick.
Hughes scores with Lenabane
He's a lovely horse, he's just so big and he's still learning. He's a half brother to Moscow Flyer so he should jump a fence, we'll go chasing with him in the Autumn and maybe try find a winners of one hurdle for him in the meantime.
That was his first time over the trip and he handled it well. The ground wouldn't be ideal he'd prefer it a bit softer but he galloped all the way to the line and I'm delighted.
Mullins wins aboard Oscar Looby
He did it well today, we probably waited with him a bit too long at Navan so I told Emmett to kick on with him today but he enjoyed the better ground here today also. We will go for another novice hurdle with him at Fairyhouse or Punchestown and go chasing with him next season.
Russell seen to good effect
He appreciated the better ground and he'll probably go for a novice handicap chase at Fairyhouse or Punchestown.
He deserved that, he needs 3 miles and he doesn't want the ground too slow or too fast, he gallops all day and jumps well. We will try find another similar type contest for him.
He's improved from every run, he showed plenty of promise as a 4 year old. He has had plenty of small problems in the past. He jumps well and we'll go hurdling with him next.
