The winner, Mister Tickle (IRE), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Market Rasen on 1 August 2021, where the gelding finished fifth of seven, beaten 23 lengths.
Gary Moore’s representative explained that Mister Tickle (IRE) appreciated being able to dictate the pace on this occasion and benefitted from the first-time application of blinkers.
Following the race, James Best reported that Stage Summit (IRE), placed fifth, was never travelling.
