The Stewards interviewed Ms N. Carberry, rider of Tooreen Legend, winner, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Ms N. Carberry in breach of Reg 10 3.(f) by using her whip with excessive frequency and having taken her record into account, they suspended her for four race days. The Stewards requested a report from T. Stack, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Tooreen Legend, winner, as compared with its recent form. James Stack, representing trainer T. Stack reported that his charge is seen at its best on fast ground and today's drying conditions obviously suited him. He also felt Tooreen Legend got the run of the race from the front under a strong drive from a leading lady Qualified Rider. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted it's contents.
