Gray and Shakeytry win a thrilling finish
There's gold to be had with Shipwreck
The last day here she had been point-to-pointing and hadn't run over hurdles and Adam (Short) just felt she was jumping too big and was wasting a bit of time. She got to the top of the hill and he said she just gave a heave and didn't come down the hill that well. That bit of rain last night and this morning helped her. She was off a low weight and hopefully she will go and win again. She's entered for Perth next Saturday and she probably will go if she comes out of this okay.
Cote Tete one for Meade and Flanagan
Cecil Corbett 'keeps the show on the road'
I thought he got there a bit too soon but he pulled out plenty at the end. He wins every year and keeps the show on the road. He gets that trip and enjoys that ground.
Short doubles up on Fairymount Boy
He was probably in front too soon today and swishing tails, he didn't swish them the last day. He looks well handicapped over fences on what he has done over hurdles and he has kind of turned the corner. Please God he will keep improving. The way things are it is possible (he could do well in a big handicap). My hands were tied in coming here today because of his rating and trying to find a race. He has handled this track so I would look at Galway but it would be the weekend in Galway, there wouldn't be anything else earlier on in the week. There's Killarney and I might give some of the festivals a rattle! We'll keep him on the go. I will probably stick with fences for now. He has jumped well today. He is a different horse this year. I just hope it is upwards and onwards with him. He has had bits of problems - he was done for his wind ages ago and he had kissing spines. The owner Pat Hayes is from Ballinrobe. My main aim would be to get him a win there some time during the summer. It could be a Ballinrobe meeting he goes to next.
Stay Humble wins well for O'Farrell and Mullins
Willie (Mullins) wanted me to be up there and positive. He said sometimes a lot of people think they are going to go on and then you get left behind. I said I would ride him good and positive, he's not the quickest in the world but he stays going all day. Long may any success continue but I've been with Willie a good while now and have a good strike rate with him. It's great to get a winner especially in these colours (Andrea & Graham Wylie).
