Whatsavailable makes all to gain deserved Fairyhouse success
He's never run a bad race, in fairness, and he'll make some chaser. He gave the last there about a foot; . He had a bit of experience and you can't beat that. I'd say he'll go chasing now next season.
Vaucelet impresses in victory
That was lovely, I was hoping he would do that,. I was so close to taking him to Aintree but I thought we'd just wait. He was second reserve for Winged Leader for Cheltenham as well but he's only seven. He's a very babyish horse in his head so we thought we'd just sit that out this year. Jamie said there that he's a Foxhunter horse for Cheltenham and Aintree next year. I couldn't have been happier coming down when I saw the sun and the wind. I walked the track and thought it was closer to good, but it's beautiful ground. He just floats on that ground and he needs the big track to bring out the best in him, jumping big fences. He's a proper staying horse as he only gets going at two-and-a-half miles. He's lazy up to that stage which will stand him in good stead in the future. It's a lovely race to win, Maple Mons was my last winner in it.
Family lunges late to grab valuable win
Townend times it to perfection on watch
That's great, Jody has won the Ladies Derby for us and now the Ladies National,. She's just an unreal rider. He missed the second last and the runner-up missed the last and that was the dividing of it. We're looking at the 3m7f on the last day of Punchestown. It's a big ask to go over three miles three times in one month but if he pulls out fresh that's what we are thinking. He's a super jumper and a very sound horse, maybe he'll turn into a proper national horse someday.
Bugs lands nice prize to open his account
It was great to get Jack. He's a super rider and it was a pleasure to watch him going around,. He jumped great for him, stayed well and he loves good ground. The trip was a big help to him and he's learning on the job. I bred him myself, there's not a whole lot of him — he's very light and spindly. I actually sold another one to Tomas but he ran so badly the twice he ran I said to him I'd take him back and give him the pick of three. He picked him and I'm delighted for them that he's won. He jumps well and he'll jump fences too on fast ground. He'll keep going for a while anyway.
Glan belies inexperience to win
Mark gave her a lovely ride, it was great. That was probably her day so we'll enjoy today; . We've gotten beat in that race a couple of times over the years and we've been placed in it a good few times.
Jetara mows down Mullins pair to take finale
That was a bit unexpected. She's bred in the purple and we'd done as much as we could with her at home, she was ready to just have a run today,. She won like a smart filly. She's a big lady, I'll let mum and Gerry decide, but I wouldn't imagine we'll go to Punchestown. She's a lovely filly and it's great for Gerry to have her as he sold all the mares two years ago. He has her and two others. It's great he has another good one.
