Tenor justifies favouritism under Lee
It was a good performance and he has done nothing wrong and has had three smashing runs. He's getting better with each run and Billy (Lee) was impressed with him. That's either it now or he'll run in the Killavullen Stakes at Leopardstown. I'll see how he is next Monday or Tuesday and the entries close on Tuesday. He always looked a good horse and his runs are showing that. He's in the 2,000 Guineas - we were brave earlier in the year!. He handles soft like all the Lope De Vega's and while he wouldn't want it on the quick side, good to yielding wouldn't be a problem.
Progressive Beach another for Murtagh
He probably got too keen in the blinkers at Dundalk last time out but settled much better today and was able to finish. Niall (McCullagh) said he got through the ground really well. He's climbing up the handicap the whole time and we'll see what the handicapper does with him. We'll see how he is over the next few days and I might look at the Trigo Stakes (at Leopardstown) for him next.
Galilean leads home O'Brien 1, 2
He's tough, stays well and horses aren't making up a whole lot of ground here today so I said I'd ride him confidently from the front and he kept going. He'll make a stayer next year.
Gentil comes from last to first under Lordan
I thought she might have got there a bit soon but she was tough and stayed at it well. She's in at Navan next Wednesday and I'll see how she is but she loves that ground.
Scully off the mark as Rogers doubles-up
He (Scully) is a good little worker and will continue to get better in time. He joined me at the start of the season.
Katie blitzes her rivals under Hogan
Stormingin storms home under Coakley
I've always thought a lot of him and he had a good first run. He only got away with the good to firm ground then and he is a high knee action. They weren't slowing down up front today and he did well to catch them. He's learning his game and will be a nice horse for next year. It's my first winner for Jim Browne, from Kilnamoragh Stud, who also bred him.
