Asterion Forlonge up and running over fences
It was a satisfactory introduction and I'll be going out in trip with him now, it'll be minimum two-and-a-half for the rest of the year,. I haven't any plans made for him yet but I was happy enough with that. He jumped very well but obviously made that mistake at the second last and he got one wrong before the ditch but, by in large, I was happy with him for a first-time out novice chaser. At the second last I was happy with the way, when it looked like he was going down, he found another leg and picked himself back up.

Daly Tiger in full cry after dental work
He struggled all last season with a tooth. We didn't know what it was and he went to the vets several times, eventually they had to take a tooth out as he had an abscess under it. That's what was probably annoying him for so long. He came back and held his condition. He's actually not that long back, he doesn't take a lot of work. The worry was would he get the trip but he's got it well and went through the ground well. He was a very nice novice hurdler and that tooth obviously had been annoying him for quite some time. He's some jumper, he was brilliant. I'm not sure how far he'll get and I'm not sure where we got next.

Rescue Package picks up another pot for Mullins
She's a tough mare and dad (Tony Mullins) has done a great job training her. He likes to give her time between runs,. She's versatile distance and ground wise. We have six weeks to Christmas now, which might be enough time, and he'll probably look for a good handicap over that period for her.

Exciting Oscar gives Mullins a Punchestown brace
He's not the easiest horse in the world to train but in fairness he did it well today. I don't know what happened to him in Clonmel the last day, whether he was sick of what, but we left him off afterwards. I said to Danny if we got a bit of prize money today we'd be delighted. His first run was a great run and I'd say he runs best fresh. The first four that day were good horses. I was disappointed with him after that but Danny said to me not to give up on him.
Letsbeclearaboutit he's a good horse
He's a real nice horse, he's exciting. I don't know what route I'm going to take with him, we might go for the Listed bumper at Navan (December 19th). He's a five-year-old so the question is whether you go over hurdles with him or stay the bumper route. I'd say we might stay in bumpers and I won't run him too much. He loves that soft ground but he's not slow and better ground won't be a problem to him.
