Leo De Fury roars home in Navan
That was great. You are always a bit frightened when they win a maiden easily, you are never quite sure what they've beaten. It's great to get that out of the way. We'll make a plan now. Shane said he'll stay a mile-and-a-half. I'd say he'll head up to stakes company now and we'll see where we go after that. He was impressive. He looks like a stakes horse and I hope he is. He's only had the two runs and he'll only improve. Shane said he was a bit green still.
Alligator Alley dominates in Navan
It was very easy. I think five furlongs is going to be the key to him, I don't think he stays six really,. We've bounced and done things right. I'm not sure if it was much of a maiden but he gave me a nice feel today. He was behind some proper horses in maidens. Even thought he wasn't getting near to them it was proper, nearly top-class, form in the book.

Sunset Nova makes the breakthrough
He's been knocking on the door and he's been ultra consistent lately. It was great to get his head in front and it was the lads' (Men Of Forty Eight Syndicate) first winner this year. We'll go to Galway now on the Monday night for the seven-furlong three-year-old handicap. Donie O'Connell and Pat Leahy are the two main men in the syndicate. Donie has a Tipperary function there, so he was always going there anyway. It was nearly six furlongs today and that will be seven up the hill. It might be a little bit of a worry but he's going anyway as the lads have a party on.
Coakley reaches 100 in style
That was good — maybe too good!. She's obviously still improving. Sh'e probably going to get quite the hammering for that although it mightn't have been the greatest of races, it didn't look it when we entered. I'd say she'll end up hurdling, her mother was quite a good hurdler for Noel Meade — she got black-type over hurdles. She will go down that route at some point. She jumps really well and is like a cat to jump. I'm delighted with that. She had a long break before she ran last week and we weren't sure whether she'd bounce out of it but she was good and got a nice ride from Ross.
Quite Subunctious wins on poignant day for Clarke
It's a long time coming with this filly but she's always shown that she was a good filly. Things worked out great today. It was a proper good galloping track and she sees it out well. She's probably better at a mile-and-a-half. It's been a special day. It was my father's mass as it's been over a year since we lost him and it's all kind of happened today. It's been a while without a winner. There have been a few things going wrong with the horses, they just haven't been right, and it's great to break it with this filly. They are great owners and Sean Toal has been very loyal and patient. She was getting into Bellewstown last week but I'd rather go to a good galloping track with her and it's worked out well thank God and Declan (McDonogh) gave her a peach. Hopefully we're turning a corner and I'm looking forward to what's around the corner. Something good is coming.
