Monterg appreciates step back in trip
Bringing her back in trip and the change of tactics made the difference. We will probably keep her more to that trip in future. I would prefer better ground than that for her but we aren't going to get much nicer ground until the spring. Hopefully she will improve away.
Drinks on Doolin as Faithful comes good
She deserved that. She had been knocking on the door for a bit and the competition probably wasn't as good today. She ran behind some good ones last year in maidens like The Tullow Tank and she got highly handicapped. She is getting into her own class now and she will stay a bit further. We just have to keep a lid on her beforehand and Brian gets on well with her. She is very lit up.

Mannon's bro proves punters Buddy
I'm delighted with that. I thought that he might need better ground but we were hoping for a good run. He finished out his race really well and it was a lovely performance. I'm not sure what we will do with him now, we might bring him back here on New Year's Day. He is a full-brother to Moscow Mannon and Cordelia Belle is their half-sister.
Robbie Mc partners first winner as a pro
We will see what the handicapper does before we decide on where to go next. I thought the track mightn't suit him here as he's more of a staying type of horse. In fairness he travelled well and jumped well. I'll see what is in Limerick for him.
Edge puts rivals to the sword at Tramore
I'm thrilled with that. We have been lucky around here before and I wished they raced here every week!. I'm delighted for the horse, he was unlucky twice last year over hurdles. He just bumped into ones too good for him and he deserved that today. I'm delighted for his owners (Richard Gilles from Cork and Alfred Sweetman from Kilkenny). They are great lads to train for and they stuck with this horse all along. We'll see what the handicapper does before deciding where to go next. He was bought for chasing and that is his kind of ground, the softer the better for him. That would be the shortest trip he would want.
