Rory O'Moore wins maiden by a distance
that was good . I was surprised he won as well as he did though! . He prefers going left-handed and thats two runs and two wins here. Andrew is getting to know him now and it worked out well today - he got a lead early on, settled and then he slipped on. He got his own way and then he was gone. He loves here and Navan and we'll look for a better race for him next.
Jezki is Royal Bond bound after Naas win
Jezki was good . I was worried about the ground as it was heavy but he coped with it well and did it well. His jumping was more professional today and he needed that run. It is hard to go to the Royal Bond Hurdle with just one hurdle run but that is his next port of call. I know he was getting loads of weight off Hisaabaat but he still had to do it.
Winning chase debut from Texas Jack
the run over hurdles had Texas Jack fit for the battle. He's a nice horse and is a half brother to Drumconvis and this is more his job than hurdling. He lost his way a bit last year and had a bit of a problem with his back which we couldn't sort out. He was hanging then but isn't doing that this year. He's in the Drinmore Chase and might go there but we'll have to see what else I have for that race. I think the further he goes the better he'll be and I hope he turns out to be a good horse for his owner Robert Watson who is a lovely man and a smashing owner to train for.
Emotional win for connections of 'Excuse
the saddest thing is that the main man in the winning (Kilshannig Racing) syndicate, Tom O'Sullivan (no relation of the trainer's), died six weeks ago - his family are at home today watching it and I feel so sorry for them.
Worldor justifies favouritism
Worldor seems to handle the conditions . I know the ground was heavy but it was slow enough time. It's great to get the win and he's got a very patient owner!. We'll see what the handicapper says but he'll be getting into better company now. We'll look for something either this side of Christmas or over Christmas next.
Saoirse benefits from perfect waiting ride
they got very tired in front but he loved the ground and stayed at it well. I was a bit worried about him getting home so I took my time on him and picked up well after the last.
