Friendless Alishan foils gamble on Admodum
Press gets deserved win to his name
He deserved that and has always been knocking on the door. He had the hood on and we took it off today but he's still a bit of a baby. These three-year-old handicaps are competitive, and hopefully he can go on and win another one. I'm happy with the way things are going, and our horses are running very consistent.
Smullen doubles-up on Queen
She has a good cruising speed and the drying ground helped. She handled Dundalk well, and has plenty of options. She didn't get into the Swinton Hurdle (at Haydock) last Saturday, so she came here instead. She has a lovely pedigree and might be covered now.
Synopsis now two from two for Lyons
I'm delighted for Gary as he's a big part of the team. She's only come to herself in the last few weeks and will improve for the run. She can step up in trip, and is going the right way.
Tiger gets off the mark under Codd for Elliott
He's very keen at home and, if he learns to settle, he could be a nice horse next year. He'll go out now and is a nice horse to go jumping next season. He wouldn't want the ground any quicker than that.
Rebel wins the feature for Lee & Kennedy
That's our best winner yet and its great to have a feature race winner in Roscommon. He was only idling in front. He probably hit the front a bit soon but with the light weight he thought he was loose. He jumped like a stag and fair play to Jack (Kennedy).
Darsi a welcome winner for O'Dwyer
Never mind the cold list, if there was a frozen list I would be on it! We have just had an unbelievable bad run of it, and he was a shade unlucky at Punchestown. It was a smashing round of jumping, and he was good in his point-to-point the first day. I was half thinking of taking him out but there was some juice in the ground, although I wouldn't chance him on it again. If we get a wet couple of weeks he could run again but next winter will be his job. I think there is a good chase in him.
