Regal Obligation takes opener
She stays the trip well, she would have loved a drop of rain as all she does is gallop. I told Wayne to force it with her from the start and whatever out-stayed her would win. We'll go for a handicap hurdle next, if her jumping was a bit tidier she might have won the last day at Sligo.
Latham records his first win at Ballinrobe
She has done it well, she got a great ride by Keagan. Her last run was a bit disappointing but she has bounced back to form.
Nugget scores for Costello
It's good to win here this evening even if it is a bad race. He won a very bad maiden at Sligo and we were just trying to pick up something similar for him. He is very good around those bends and seems to the like the sharp tracks. We have no immediate plans for him.
Collins good run continues
I was a bit concerned with the trip but he kept at it really well. All the horses are running really well at the moment. Pat gave the horse a great ride, he was the difference between winning and losing. We have no immediate plans for this lad.
Geraghty at his best
The conditions of the race really suited him and that's why we came here. He had a hard race at Galway but he ate up well after it and has been in great form at home. He has now won a Flat Race, Hurdle and Chase in three weeks. We'll head for a two mile and one furlong Chase at Galway at the end of the month. The long term plan would be to try win a Graded Chase before the Winter ground gets too heavy.
Vino on the mark for Miley
We were fairly confident he'd stay the trip, he's been fairly consistent he just had a bit of a blip the last day. He's a very progressive horse and he's only a five year old. We'll keep him on the go as long as the ground stays good and hopefully he'll pick up something similar.
Caldwell records first track win
I took out my training licence in May and had a point to point winner shortly afterwards and this was my first winner on the track. I served my time with Pat Martin and my Father also works for Pat. He's a nice horse and ran well here first time out and he improved from the experience. He was due to run at Galway but he was injured in transit and so we brought him back here to a track he already knew.
