Brown Butterfly sprints away
Double for Prendergast and McDonogh
She won well. Her Guineas run was good. She was only beaten just under six lengths. Seven furlongs is probably her trip. She would want to settle better to get that extra furlong. We'll probably go for a Group 3 over seven furlongs next. There's a couple coming up over the next month to six weeks. She is very consistent and on her Guineas run had to have a big chance today.
Six of Hearts shows his hand well
Lilbourne Lad routs his opposition
He's a very nice horse and we have always liked him a lot. We were a bit disappointed he got beaten on his second run. I think it was a lack of experience and also giving the winner three pounds. It was a real good performance today. We'll have to look at Ascot after that and he's also in a lot of the sales races. I couldn't have been more pleased. He surprised me a bit as he's not a horse that does a lot at home.
Teolane shows her class
She's not certain to go to the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot as it might just be a little bit too close. We'll see how she comes out of today's race. I might go to the Albany with Somasach [Tipperary winner on June 1]. If Teolane doesn't go to Ascot then it could be Moyglare time before she runs again. She'll get any trip and could stay a mile and a half. She could be anything, the further she goes the better. If she does go to the Albany Stakes then Somasach will run in the Queen Mary.
Cronin scores on Jambalaya
Seamus gave him a good ride. He is a good young lad and is nice and light. Hopefully he will get plenty of opportunities. He has been with me since February. He has ridden pony racing winners so has plenty of experience.
Murtagh leads way on Leceile
She ran well first time up at Navan. Fran Berry said to me then to make the running on her. I said to a few lads to back her at Punchestown even though she was 33/1 but she made a mistake at the second and got a fright. She was very distressed afterwards. It was hard to fancy her today. She loves that fast ground. Johnny Murtagh got a bit of a jump on them. We could bring her to the Curragh for a handicap on Derby weekend.
