Emergency makes it two from two
That was workmanlike but the ground is very tough and Emmet said it is proper testing ground. He's tough and just grinded it out.
Tetrarch hero Tombelaine is Guineas bound
He ran four times last year beating Highland Reel first time before running against Gleneagles, John F Kennedy and Ol' Man River. He's a tough colt and will obviously appreciate better ground. This is a logical prep race for the Irish Guineas and he'll take his chance now in the Irish 2,000 Guineas. He was working well and my only concern, being an American bred and very effective on good ground, was how would he handle that much cut in the ground. If he doesn't run in the Irish 2,000 Guineas then he could go for the Jersey Stakes.
Outsider Iveagh in Athasi shock
When the ground gets like that not many handle it. But she doesn't just handle it, she enjoys it. That (Group 3) is on her CV now, and it makes a big difference to a filly. What she does now will obviously depend on the ground but she could travel again.
Hussey banned after controversial finish
She loves that heavy ground. We had thought about giving her a break but she comes out of her races so well and, if the ground stays soft, we may keep going. Tom (Madden) gave her a great ride. She's a real tough filly, and hopefully she'll strengthen up in time and go over hurdles. She's owned by my mother and my husband Liam (Browne).
Weld & Smullen double up with Rock
He did what you would expect him to do. He's a very good horse. He could go for a lot of those races that Famous Name ran in before, and in the second part of the year could have more serious challenges. He loves soft ground. Heâs a more relaxed horse this year than last year. Heâd never want firm ground. The Tattersalls Gold Cup could be considered if the ground was suitable.
Jeremy's dominate as Fei comes out on top
She's tough out. The first two are both Jeremy's and they love that ground. She kept galloping.
Keane doubles up aboard Urbestchance
She's a half-sister to Capt Chaos (won the Tetrarch Stakes on this card in 2008). She's showed plenty at home but I was worried about the ground. I think she can be a black type filly, and if she reaches the heights of her brother she'll be alright.
