P.J. Rothwell, trainer of Dushy Springs, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was fitted with a special bit today instead of applying a tongue strap, but the animal resented this in running and never travelled throughout The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Dushy Springs, trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame behind post race.
