He stepped up in trip and it was probably a poor race and he wants that very deep ground. He did everything right and fair play to the owners who have had a lot of patience with him - he had trouble the whole way through and they stuck with him. He is a big chaser in the making and will stay over hurdles this season. Sean (O'Keeffe) and Bryan (Cooper) were in Leopardstown and that's Phillip's second ride for us and also a second winner - he previously won on My Club Colours in Punchestown.

he had a fall the last day on his first run back but he was very good today and is a relaxed type of horse. He progressed well last year and always just does enough. I don't look beyond today but I suppose something like the Leopardstown Chase could suit now.
