An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference after the final flight when the winner, Enforcement (IRE), ridden by Harry Stock, interfered with Collodi (GER), placed second, ridden by Connor Brace.
Being a 7lb claiming conditional, Brace was accompanied in the enquiry by a more senior rider.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Enforcement (IRE)’s placing as the interference had been very minimal, with Collodi (GER) being intimidated only slightly off its intended line, losing no momentum.
Stock was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction.
The Clerk of the Scales reported that Pte Alexandra Bell, the rider of Ruby Taylor (GB), unplaced, trained by Nick Lampard, had weighed in at 9st 9lbs having weighed out at 9st 7lbs.
The rider, the trainer and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed.
Pte Bell was suspended for 1 days for weighing in at 2lb overweight.
