Swerve blitzes her rivals to take the first
Another easy winner as Bonnie sluices in
Blinkers work a treat on Secretary Of State
He did it well and picked up nicely. The first time blinkers helped. He jumped well and got a nice lead. It was very uncomplicated and he was genuine and stayed going all the way to the line.
Slieveardagh does it well
Barry (Geraghty) said if the ground was any slower he would have been in trouble but he got away with it. He will go for a two and a half mile chase at Tipperary early next month.
Shadow Eile wins as expected
She did it even better than at Galway. Shay (Barry) gave her a beautiful ride. She is a smashing mare with a lovely temperament. She will go for a Mares Hurdle next at Punchestown on October 13th. She is such a good jumper and her future lies over fences. We will be minding her with that in mind. She is best on good to yielding ground but she handles this ground very well.
Beir Bua lands a gamble in his first handicap
That was his first time in a handicap and the first time tongue tie helped him. We were hopeful of a good run and he will go for something similar next.
Missunited trounces the field in the bumper
She is a nice one. If it was a Mares bumper we would have fancied her like mad! . She ran well at Limerick where the winner probably wanted the good ground but we wanted it soft. She thrives on soft ground but it was bit dead today. She is flat bred but I would love to go hurdling with her. She will go for a winners of one, mares bumper at Wexford next and the more rain the better.
