The Stewards interviewed M.P. Butler, rider of Leavethelighton, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found M.P. Butler in breach of Reg. 10 3(e) by hitting the horse other than down the shoulder or on the hind quarters and having considered his record suspended him for two race days. The Stewards interviewed Ms N. Carberry, rider of Federici (GB), concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Ms N. Carberry in breach of Reg 10 3.(f) by using her whip with excessive frequency and suspended her for two race days. N.P. Madden, rider of If Not For You trained by Edward P.Harty, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.
