Doyle wins opener aboard Junior Boss
I set up Lisaleen Racing Club this year, it's a 1000e to join for the year, we hope to have 4 horses for the club, this is our 2nd runner and our 1st winner. We have about 15 or 16 members so far and hope to get about 100 members. We will probably go for a winners of one with this lad next.
Faltering Fullback scores for McNamara
The other horse came to him in the straight and we were caught for a bit of toe but our fellow battled it out well. I think he's more of a 2 ¿ mile or a 3 mile horse. He's just a stayer with great cruising speed and he'll be a very exciting horse over fences. He will have a break now and we'll probably bring him back in October and we'll go straight over fences with him then.
Fahy wins with Washington Lad
I'm happy with that now, I thought after his mistake our chance was gone but he kept on and he got a great jump at the last. I'm delighted for the horse too as he has broken down twice. He will probably have a little break now and we'll bring him back here for a flat race and then head for the Galway Plate.
Cawley records double
That was great, he's a good horse. He was very stiff after his unfortunate fall at Navan and it took a while to get him back to himself. We will keep him going now on Summer type ground now.
Geoghegan/Griffin score at Killarney
My gut told me we had it, but I didn't want to call it. I'm delighted the horse won especially for the owner Mark Taylor as he unwell at the moment and hopefully this will give him a boost. The better ground and the blinkers definitely helped, he's still a bit green but hopefully we'll be able to pick up another one or two with him.
