Permission was given for Hi Hoh Tonto (GB) to go early to post and for Suanni (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approximately one furlong out involving Hi Hoh Tonto (GB), placed second, ridden by Faye McManoman, Aces Wild (IRE), placed third, ridden by Finley Marsh and Doctor Mozart (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jason Hart.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Hi Hoh Tonto (GB)’s placing as, by edging left-handed, albeit at the same time as Doctor Mozart (IRE) edged right, it had contributed to Aces Wild (IRE) running out of racing room, having to check and switch before running on strongly to finish third beaten a short head for second.
The placings were revised as follows; First: Basholo (IRE); Second: Aces Wild (IRE); Third: Hi Hoh Tonto (GB); Fourth: Mintana (GB).
The interference relating to McManoman was found to be accidental as Hi Hoh Tonto (GB) had shifted only slightly left-handed, before being quickly corrected, leaving Aces Wild short of room between horses and becoming unbalanced, turning Hi Hoh Tonto (GB)’s quarters, causing him to become unbalanced and to bump into Doctor Mozart (IRE) which was thrown wide as a result.
The interference relating to Hart was also deemed to be accidental as he, too, had only shifted slightly right off a line.
Following the race, Jason Hart reported that Doctor Mozart (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference a furlong out and Faye McManoman reported that Hi Hoh Tonto (GB), placed second, hung left-handed up the straight.
