Third time lucky for Burgundy Boy
He's owned by my niece Joanne who also works for me. He was bought as a foal but didn't sell as a yearling. He's big and people think big is going to be backward but he's never been backward. Gary felt he would be suited by the hill at Galway, so we may look at the mile nursery there. He's not ground dependant and, if he's not sold, we should have a lot of fun with him.
Aspen makes all under Roche for Martin
She got a lovely soft lead, and settled better than she had been settling. They probably let her get away a bit. She's tough and honest, and tries very hard. She's won two now this year, and hopefully the handicapper will not be too hard on her.

Brace for Carroll as Fairies wins the Lenebane
It's been a lucky race for me. I thought two furlongs out that our luck might me out as she was on the inside obviously going very well but with nowhere to go. But when the gap came she flew through it. She just likes a little ease in the ground. She won for Joe (Murphy) last year on good to firm, and she ran very well in the Group 3 in Cork the other day when it was more firm than good. I just thought that when she hit a race with softer ground that she might be able to win another race like this. We'll keep running her in those kind of races and maybe get a place in a Group 3. Who knows when the ground is soft she may run above herself. She is a very genuine and tough filly, and a really nice filly for them to have back on the farm as a broodmare.
Powersbomb justifies favouritism
He's done it very well, and is a real stable star for me as I only have a few in. He's been to Leopardstown at Christmas twice, and the Festivals at Cheltenham and Punchestown. He'll go to Galway, and may go for the amateur handicap on the first night or the Guinness Handicap on the Friday. He'll probably get more entries for Galway than any other horse, as he'll be in hurdles and chases as well. He may get an entry in the Plate but I think it is too far as he walked home after the last over 2m 4f at Cheltenham.
