Aghaboy holds on in Ballinrobe opener
She Is Electric off the front
We always thought she was a proper good mare. We've had a few niggly problems training her. Eddie Naughton, who's a great friend of mine, owns her along with me and that's his first winner.
Lee fires in a double through Oskar High
We minded him well at home and he didn't do anything all year, but we brought him to the beach and looked after him and he did it great here this evening. He's a tough horse. We took a chance that there was enough ease in the ground and there was, just about. He battled it out great, he outstayed them. The horses are in real good order and it's been a great evening. That's our seventh winner of the season. Any small trainer who does his job right can take on the biggest yards in Ireland. Give us the ammunition and we'll do the job.
Brouder savours victory on Kitty Galore
She was as high as 127 over fences at one point, so we fancied her this evening off 104. She injured her fetlock joint at Limerick last Christmas and I must thank Fethard Equine Hospital. They put two screws in her fetlock. This is a good mare. Her half-sister won a bumper for Mark Molloy at Down Royal recently. She hadn't run in 200 days but I had her really right today and I was confident. She's in at Sligo next week but we might wait for Listowel. She's well capable of getting black type before too long.

Ryan and Brouder grab brace with Chief Seattle
He's a smashing horse, I've been playing him along. He's big ignorant horse at home. I've been running him and running him, he's only been ridden out about four times in the last three weeks because he's been racing so much. He's trained off the field, he's nearly impossible to train and is hard to manage at home. Liam Quinlan has done a lot of good work with him. Kevin Brouder gave him an absolute peach there. My daughter Gillian, who is a biopharmaceutical engineer, does an awful lot of work in the yard and I must pay tribute to her. She has all the horses extremely healthy. Even when the horses were off form for a while, she didn't panic and she got them right again. In fairness, a lot of my success is due to Gillian.
Red Striker scores for McNamara and O'Hanlon
We said we'd ride him handy but try not to get into a battle, and Paddy did exactly that to be fair to him. He's a Sea The Stars so he has a bit of boot and travels well even though he mightn't be the toughest. Paddy was plenty cool on him and stayed out a little too until they got down to the second-last. He wouldn't want it too soft, so he's not going to stay going for the winter and he's after being busy enough. He might even go back on the Flat, maybe at Dundalk. He had two proper injuries when he started off with us and fair play to his owner Tom McNulty for persevering with him and he's getting his reward now. This is Tom's local track so he's delighted.
